The Training team delivers training to University staff on Oracle Financials and on the broader topics of financial management at the University. Scroll down for more information.
We provide classroom sessions primarily at the Hythe Bridge Street office; at IT Services, 13 Banbury Road and; at venues around the University. Training can also be provided for specific groups in venues around the University by arrangement. Under certain circumstances the team can also provide one-to-one support.
New Starters – Oracle Access Process
Please use the following process for your new starters to avoid any delays in the granting of access to Oracle Financials:
Complete a New User form for the new starter. Don't know which roles to request? Check on the Activity by role (XLS)
Please note: this form must be submitted by the departmental ‘Authorising Signatory’.
Once the form has been received and processed in the FSSC team an automated email will be sent to the user to let them know which training courses are required for each role requested.
Access will be granted for each role as and when the training is completed.
Don't know the training requirements for each role? Check on the Training courses by role (XLS) form, or see below for more information
All training courses, either online or classroom, should be managed by the individual themselves via CoSy.
Covid-19 Information for New or Additional Access Requests
If you require urgent access to Oracle Financials, please complete the relevant online training course. Details of which courses are available online. To ensure the safety of staff and to minimise the spread of coronavirus, all face to face/classroom training is currently suspended. The classroom based "Introduction to..." courses are being delivered via Teams. Book your place as usual in CoSy. The Training Team will then send an invitation for you to join the Teams meeting.
The situation will be regularly reviewed and this guidance updated as soon as we are able to offer classroom training again.
Please refer to the guidance below for details on booking, materials, courses and support information.
