R12 Reports Library

The R12 Reports Library contains information about a wide range of R12 reports, including the purpose of each report, how to run it and what the output should look like. The Reports Library by role (XLS) shows the reports available by system responsibility as well as the security level of each report and further notes about accessing them.

There are a variety of reports in the Reports Library and it isn't necessary for every department to run all of them each month. For example, there are some reports that large and complex departments will need to run more frequently than smaller departments. Some reports are recommended to be run on a monthly basis and this will be best practice for many departments. As a minimum these reports should be run quarterly. Your Divisional Financial Controller will be able to advise on what is most appropriate for your department.

When to schedule reports
Users are encouraged to schedule Oracle Financials reports to run outside of working hours to reduce demand on the system during busy periods. At certain times, however, this can interfere with important overnight update processes and affect the accuracy of the information you receive, so we ask that you do not schedule reports between the following times:

  • midnight and 5am every night;
  • 4 and 9am on Sunday mornings;
  • 11.30pm and 7.30am every night for the following Projects reports:
    • UO Project Status and Activity
    • UO Project Management Overview
    • UO Project Portfolio
    • UO Project Performance.

Where people have reports scheduled at these times, someone from Financial Systems Support Centre may be in touch. If you are unsure and would like to check when your reports are scheduled, go to the ‘Tools’ tab on the main ‘Reports User’ page and there is an option to cancel scheduled reports from here.
