National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) is a national scheme, offered by the University to non-employees who have a contract personally to work for or provide services to the University and who are not undertaking the work as part of their own business.

All workers automatically enrolled in NEST pay a monthly personal contribution to the scheme in accordance with the rules, as amended from time to time, of the pension scheme. The University also pays a contribution every month. Both are calculated as a percentage of basic pay.
